If you’re planning a move to Minneapolis, you’ve probably already spent some time looking into apartment purchase or rental, but finding a place to live will not be your only concern as you explore your new home. You’re also going to need a guide to entertainment, restaurants, shopping, transportation, and the host of other things a new resident requires to feel totally at home.

When you’re trying to make a new life in any location, you will undoubtedly feel a little bit overwhelmed and maybe even a little lonely. It can be hard to embark on a whole new life in a brand new place. When you don’t know anyone, you get lost just trying to find the grocery store; you’re trying to focus on finding work – or worse, getting settled at a new job. Let’s face it, it can be downright scary. But finding the utilizing the right resources to get things in order is your best bet for making the most of your change.

Before you get discouraged, you’ll be happy to know that a full stomach is a great cure all for the moving blues. There is no shortage of restaurants in Minneapolis. Among the many renowned restaurants are the Safari Restaurant, Quang Restaurant and Little Tijuana are some of the more popular and are sure to have you feeling right at home in no time. You will find that most Minneapolis restaurants are concentrated near the Eat Street, Dinkytown and Stadium Village, which is located in Southeast Minneapolis, offers some fine restaurants as well. A few of these are Stub and Herb's, The Steak Knife and Sally's Saloon, all of which are highly recommended -– each bringing with it a special atmosphere and impeccable quality!

You will find, as you embark on your new journey, if you can find one place to get comfortable, and perhaps meet a few new friends, your transition to a new life will go much more smoothly. The key to making it as a Minneapolis resident is getting to know the city and the people who live there. Once you’ve developed a report and a knowledge of ‘favorite places’ you will begin to come into your own as a citizen. Before you know it, you’ll have a network of friends, you’ll be comfortable in your new apartment, you’ll be settled in at work, and you’ll no longer be new to Minneapolis!
